The Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce and the CeeBee Ambassadors were present at the Micah House groundbreaking for its future Florence M. Lakin Child Development Center that will be located adjacent to the shelter on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. 

Our area's lack of available childcare has created a barrier to our community and to our workforce and we are excited to support the Micah House in its endeavors.  The CB Chamber has been in communication with Micah House Executive Director, Ashley Flater about their project and available programming for businesses looking to provide some sort of childcare benefit to their employees.
