Businesses are awarded this badge of honor based on the survey results answered by their employees. They will be recognized and awarded based on company size. 
 

Celebrate, network, and hear from Guest Speaker: Dr. Cool

Dr. Cool brings over 15 years of experience in education and the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the Executive Director of Avenue Scholars Southwest Iowa. This pioneering nonprofit organization is dedicated to bridging the gap between education and industry for local students, particularly those with high potential and significant need, to foster successful career pathways. In her role, Dr. Cool oversees the full scope of the organization’s mission and strategic direction, guided by the board of directors. Dr. Cool’s areas of passion and expertise include fostering organizational success through people-centered leadership and a focus on organizational health, guided by her "lead with love" philosophy, as well as bridging education and industry to create career pathways and contribute to a sustainable, talented workforce.

Dr. Cool earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and holds a master’s degree from Bellevue University, as well as a Doctor of Education in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University.

Beyond working with Avenue Scholars Southwest Iowa, Dr. Cool is actively engaged in the community. She serves as board president of the Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation, a voluntary position, and she holds a seat on the board of directors and as secretary for the Council Bluffs Noon Rotary, and was recognized as Rotarian of the Year in 2024. Dr. Cool contributes as a board member of the Council Bluffs Leadership Alumni Association. In 2023, Dr. Cool was named a Midlands Business Journal 40 Under 40 awardee. Dr. Cool is also a past member of the Impact CB Young Professionals Executive Committee.
