Hi Everyone –
During the first Council Bluffs Worksite Collaborative meeting in April, the participants completed a survey that indicated interests in discussing and learning more about a variety of employee health and wellbeing topics.
The first Council Bluffs Worksite Collaborative discussion, as a result of the survey, will focus on ways to get employees to “move more” – specifically worksite places for physical activity.
Agenda:
• Hear about what some worksites are doing to encourage employees to move more. (Thanks to Kerri Wede from All Care Health and Chad Ellsworth from Iowa Western for sharing their experiences with everyone.)
• Discuss worksite places for physical activity, ongoing fitness programs, bike parking/bike shares, physical activity support groups. Resources/references and toolkits will be provided.
• Joint-use access/membership discounts. (Thanks to Leo McIntosh from the YMCA for joining our meeting to share information on this topic.)
• Planning for next steps.
