Navigating the “Great Resignation”

Anthony Klotz, a professor of the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University coined the “Great Resignation” which has blown through every business like wild fire. The phrase refers to the large number of workers who are either quitting?or seriously considering it as the pandemic starts to dial down. He explains, “How we spent our time before the pandemic may not be how we want to spend our time after.” Unfortunately, the data from survey after survey supports this trend. Monster.com, a job listing site,?polled 649 employed US workers on June 14. 95%?of them said they were considering leaving their jobs. Why? Burnout had the largest percent, but they also found people felt there was a lack of opportunities for growth within their current organization.

We are over halfway through 2021 and business are scrambling in so many different avenues; adjusting return-to-office plans, ways to keep their employees with their organization, and creating unique strategies to attract good employees. During our time together, we will be talking about how to create an environment where people want to stay, ways to market your business both internally and externally, and exploring new recruitment strategies.
