Description
Presentation topic - Improving Workplace Well-Being
Many people in the workplace face mental health challenges. Yet, compared to
other medical conditions, mental health conditions are more often tied to fear,
shame, negative stereotypes, and other misconceptions that result in stigma.
This presentation will help employers understand the effects of stigma, how to
recognize when someone might be struggling with a mental health condition and
how to help.
Detail bulletin points
1. Understanding the effects of stigma on mental health, and how it affects
the workplace.
2. Recognizing when someone might be struggling with a mental health
condition.
3. How to create a StigmaFree culture at your workplace.
4. Identify mental health resources to support your organization and your
workforce.
Takeaways -
Mental health is just as important as physical health. Without support, workers
are unlikely to get the care or accommodations they need and may leave the
workplace entirely. By providing a StigmaFree workplace, you can
simultaneously improve the lives of your employees with mental health
conditions and the success of your organization as a whole.
