Join us to hear from Shannon Bingham owner of Seven Salon, and awarded the title of Mrs. Nebraska this year. Shannon moved to Omaha after graduating from Lenox, Iowa, she envisioned and pursued a life with purpose. In 2004, at the age of 26, Shannon and her business partner Nikki opened nationally recognized Seven Salon, which has been in business for 20 years with a staff of nearly 30.  Their salon was awarded Salon Today magazine’s Top 200 Fastest Growing Salons in the United States. In addition to being a business owner, hairstylist, and photographer, Shannon has been an international traveling educator for major manufacturers such as Tigi Bed Head & IGK, educating on stages, on camera and in classrooms.  Shannon has also dedicated 4 years of service to the beauty industry serving on the DHHS Board of Cosmetology helping to form and fight legislation on multiple occasions and uphold the integrity of these licensed professionals. Shannon has been published in magazines and has organized fundraisers for local and national charities.  Shannon was humbled to be nominated for awards that recognized her philanthropy, dedication, and talent.  Shannon's social media presence featuring her work has also been recognized internationally by large platforms. Shannon has been interviewed on forums and podcasts, and has developed personalized, freelance classes to help guide and inspire pros in the industry.  In 2007 Shannon became a mother though the process of adoption, which created a passion for 'Open Adoption' as well.  Recently she was selected to be an adoptive family mentor for NCHS, advocating for families, celebrating success, and mentoring through challenges. This year, after being awarded the title of Mrs. Nebraska International, Shannon knew naturally she could raise even more awareness and educate about the process of adoption.  In her free time, Shannon loves traveling with her entrepreneurial locksmith husband and three kiddos, operating her photography business, volunteering at her home church, golfing and eating out in new places!
