About the Position
The Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee the delivery of Leadership Council Bluffs and Youth Leadership Council Bluffs programs, and provide support for additional Chamber programs and events, including delivering benefits to our members. This pivotal role involves coordinating program logistics, managing curriculum development, and fostering engagement among participants of the Leadership CB and Youth Leadership CB programs.
- Leadership CB and Youth Leadership Program Management
- Coordinate the curriculum, application, and selection process for Leadership Council Bluffs and Youth Leadership Council Bluffs programs.
- Manage all aspects of program logistics, including session coordination, meals, transportation, and communication with participants and volunteers.
- Schedule and coordinate guest speakers, panelists, and mentors to enhance the learning experience for program participants.
- Solicit feedback and conduct regular evaluation of program effectiveness. Implement improvements as needed.
- Member Services
- In partnership with the Director of Member Services, assist with member services, including member recruitment and retention, sponsorships, member onboarding, and invoicing.
- Assist with delivering policy and advocacy, workforce development, and other programming as needed.
- Event Planning and Coordination
- Provide support with planning and execution events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in event planning and coordination is preferred.
- Passion for leadership development and community engagement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Typical office working conditions with flexibility for evening and weekend work.
- Ability to drive, operate office equipment, and attend various business functions.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in Windows-based software (Word, Excel, Access), as well as relationship management and/or donor management software.
- Familiarity with general office equipment and technology.
- Willingness to learn and implement new skills.
- Strive to enhance public understanding of the Chamber's purpose and functions.
- Represent the Chamber and the City of Council Bluffs professionally and ethically in all interactions.
