Bus Drivers

Boys Town is hiring Bus Drivers to safely transport youth to school and activities.

This is a perfect side job for those looking for flexible work and earning extra income, or even retired drivers with a CDL license.

Key Responsibilities
??Coordinate and complete assigned transportation duties according to a regular schedule.

??Perform routine maintenance checks and maintain cleanliness of transportation vehicles.

??Complete and submit reports on vehicle maintenance needs and safety concerns.

??Monitor and supervise youth behavior during transportation; provide appropriate corrections as needed.

??Ensure all passengers are wearing seatbelts properly.

??Communicate with appropriate staff about youth needs and progress.

??Administer first aid in the event of an accident.

??Monitor the environment to ensure a safe and secure setting for youth.

??Follow all safety policies and procedures, including those related to youth supervision, outings, and incident reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

??Knowledge of Nebraska Vehicle and Driver Safety Guidelines.

??Ability to drive safely in all weather and road conditions.

??Strong verbal communication skills with a professional and articulate manner.

??Understanding of the Boys Town Model of care (or willingness to learn).

Required Qualifications

??High school diploma or equivalent.

??At least 21 years of age.

??Previous driving experience.

??Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.

??Good driving record.

??Must pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check.

Preferred Qualifications

??Previous bus driving experience is preferred.
