Friends of the Council Bluffs Public Library

The board is the Friends of the Council Bluffs Public Library.  The board is a volunteer board for the Friends of the Council Bluffs Public Library membership association. 

The Friends of the Library's purpose is: 

1.  Maintain an association of persons interested in libraries; 
2.  Focus public attention on the library; 
3.  Stimulate the use of the library’s resources and services; 
4.  Receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library; 
5.  Support the development of library services, facilities , and personnel, including projects which cannot be funded through customary annual governmental budgeting, and 
6.  Support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.  The board oversees the group.
