Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce Opens Applications for Leadership Class 38

Graduation for Class 37 to Be Celebrated at Mid-Year Meeting on June 18

Council Bluffs, IA — The Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that applications are now open for Leadership Council Bluffs Class 38, the next cohort of the Chamber’s signature leadership development program. This long-standing initiative equips participants with a deeper understanding of community challenges, while building a strong network of emerging leaders dedicated to shaping the future of the Council Bluffs region.
The Chamber will also host a graduation ceremony for Leadership Council Bluffs Class 37 during its upcoming Mid-Year Meeting & Leadership Graduation on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mid-America Center. 
Leadership Council Bluffs Class 37 includes professionals from diverse industries who spent the last nine months engaging in hands-on learning experiences focused on economic development, education, government, healthcare, and quality of life in Pottawattamie County. The Mid-Year Meeting provides an opportunity to recognize their accomplishments and contributions to the program and community.
Joining us for this celebration is keynote speaker Dr. Josie Schafer, Director of the Center for Public Affairs Research at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Dr. Schafer’s work focuses on translating complex data into actionable public policy and strengthening civic leadership across the region. 
“Leadership Council Bluffs continues to be a cornerstone program for building community-minded leaders,” said Rachel Jensen, Director of Workforce Initiatives. “We look forward to honoring Class 37’s achievements and welcoming applicants for Class 38 who are ready to make their mark on our region.”
